How it works

        ⚙️ One-time setup: Get a free or pay-as-you-go API key from your chosen AI provider and enter it in the extension. See Getting your API key below.
      

Click the extension

Open Mise from your Chrome toolbar. It shows how many tabs are currently open.

Optionally give it an instruction

Leave it blank to group everything automatically, or tell it exactly what you want.

Click "Group my tabs"

The AI reads your tab titles and URLs, figures out the logical categories, and groups them instantly.

Get Set Up

Mise uses AI to read your tab titles and URLs and figure out the logical groupings. You connect your own API key directly from the provider — we never store or proxy it.

Free options are available. You can save keys for multiple providers and switch between them anytime from the extension settings.

🔒 Keys are stored locally in Chrome's storage API and never leave your browser.

Google Gemini

Free ▾

Google's Flash models are fast, capable, and free via AI Studio. The easiest way to get started — no billing required. Available models: Gemini 2.5 Flash, 2.5 Flash Lite, 3.1 Flash Lite.

Go to aistudio.google.com and sign in with your Google account.
Go to API Keys — Google creates a default key for you automatically.hover to peek ↗
Copy the key and paste it into the extension.

Groq

Free ▾

Groq runs open-source models on custom LPU hardware, making it exceptionally fast — often the quickest option available. Free tier is generous for everyday use. Available models: Llama 3.3 70B, Llama 3.1 8B, Llama 4 Scout, Qwen3 32B.

Go to console.groq.com and create a free account.
Go to API Keys and click Create API Key.
Copy the key (starts with gsk_) and paste it into the extension.

Claude — Anthropic

Pay as you go ▾

Anthropic's models are excellent at following nuanced instructions. Each run costs a fraction of a cent. Minimum $5 credit to activate API access. Available models: Haiku 4.5, Sonnet 4.6, Opus 4.6.

This is separate from any Claude.ai subscription. You need a dedicated API account at console.anthropic.com.

Go to console.anthropic.com and create an account.
Go to Settings → Billing and purchase credits (minimum $5).
Go to Settings → API Keys and click Create Key.
Copy the key (starts with sk-ant-) and paste it into the extension.

OpenAI

Pay as you go ▾

OpenAI's latest GPT-5.4 models offer strong general reasoning and are widely battle-tested. Each run costs a fraction of a cent. Available models: GPT-5.4 Nano, GPT-5.4 Mini, GPT-5.4.

API credits are separate from any ChatGPT Plus or Pro subscription — you need a separate account at platform.openai.com.

Go to platform.openai.com and create an account.
Go to Billing and add payment details.
Go to API Keys and click Create new secret key.
Copy the key (starts with sk-) and paste it into the extension.
